Dr. J. Art Mirelez

Dr. J. Art Mirelez, Jr. maintains one of the most successful private dental practices in Fresno. A local boy, born in Fresno, and raised in the nearby small rural town of Caruthers, he attended and graduated from Caruthers High School. After graduation, he attended Fresno State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with Honors. Dr. Mirelez received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry in 2002. Upon completion of dental school, he was selected for a General Practice Residency Program at Fresno’s University Medical Center, where he treated medically compromised patients under general anesthesia. Dr. Mirelez then went on to work for Healthy Smiles Mobile Dental Foundation, a local non-profit children’s dental organization.

Dr. Mirelez later attended the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute Program and after completion, acquired his Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologist, one of the highest international designations for skill in the surgery and restoration of dental implants. Dr. Mirelez earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) at the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2011 after completing over 500 hours of dental education after dental school. Today, Dr. Mirelez has over 2,000 hours of continuing dental education completed and all his patients rest assured that only excellent and scientifically proven dentistry is provided.

Dr. Dino Mantis

Dr. Dino Mantis loves to help his patients. Any time a dentist enjoys what they do as much as Dr. Mantis does, the effort to become the very best in his field and continually advance his skills is simply a joy.

Over the last 17 years, Dr. Mantis has been educated in the teachings of five of the leading dental lecturers in the world, resulting in his patients having access to the finest in dental care possible. Dr. Mantis has extensive experience performing restorative dentistry, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. When planning treatment, he takes a holistic approach by considering the health and interaction of each patient’s teeth, gums, jaw joints, and facial muscles.

Continuing Education

Since graduating from Loyola Dental School in 1987, Dr. Mantis has strived to continually improve his ability to help his patients. He has attended these fine, dental, educational institutions:

  • The Schuster Center for Professional Development in Scottsdale, Arizona, taught by Dr. Michael Schuster

  • The Misch International Implant Institute in Dearborn, Michigan, taught by Dr. Carl Misch
  • The Kois Center in Seattle, Washington, taught by Dr. John Kois
  • Pikos Implant Institution in Tampa, Florida, taught by Dr. Michael Pikos
  • Ickert Teaching Center in Vancouver, Canada, taught by Dr. Norm Ickert
  • Chao Pinhole Institute in Alhambra, California, taught by Dr. John Chao
  • gIDE Institute, Implants, Bone Grafting, Tissue Grafting in Los Angeles, California, taught by Dr. Sascha Jovanovil

Dr. Mantis has also had the honor of becoming a mentor at the Kois Center and his superior skill has been recognized by his being appointed a Clinical Instructor.

Dr. Sukhjit Gill

Dr. Sukhjit Gill is a graduate of University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is actively affiliated with the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and local dental societies.

As a dental professional, Dr. Gill enjoys building relationships with his patients and recognizes the importance of listening to patient needs. He has been commended for his compassionate care and believes every patient case is unique and must be approached and solved differently. He also understands the dental anxiety, fear, and past traumatic dental experiences that patients may have, and he is credentialed to use oral conscious sedation to put his patients at ease. Dr. Gill believes in patient education, prevention, and minimally invasive dental treatments. He finds true joy in helping patients in their journey to better oral health and Dr. Gill is committed to working hard for each and every patient!

In his spare time, Dr. Gill loves fitness, reading, writing, and travelling the world. He has published in the following competitive and peer-reviewed journals: Journal of American Dental Association (JADA), Journal of Dental Education (JDE), and Journal of Ethics in Biology, Engineering and Medicine. Dr. Gill understands learning is a never-ending process and actively involves himself in continuing education. He regularly completes more than 250 Continuing Education hours a year and has received training under well-respected dental scholars, such as John Kois, Snjezana Pohl, James Rutkowski, Istvan Urban, Michael Pikos, Frank Spear, and Bernardo De Sousa. He is a Fellow Candidate of Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), and International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He is a graduate of American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) Maxicourse. Dr. Gill is in process of finishing his advanced coursework at the prestigious Kois Center and enjoys working alongside his mentor and Kois Clinical Instructor, Art Mirelez.
